Nickerson, Eleazer Freeman (1806-1862), merchant; born at Cavendish, Windsor County Vermont. Son of Freeman Nickerson (1779-1847) and Huldah Chapman (1780-1860). Merchant living in Mt. Pleasant, Ontario, Canada in the early 1830s. Married Eliza McAllister, 1831. [PJSv2]
Nickerson, Eliza McAllister (1811-1835), born in Canada. Daughter of Samuel McAllister (1774-1865) and Elizabeth (1774-1865). Married Eleazer Freeman Nickerson at Woodhouse, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada in 1831. [PJSv2]
Nickerson, Freeman (1778-1847), was born in South Dennis, Massachusetts, Feb. 5, 1778. In 1800 he emigrated to Vermont, where he met and married Huldah Chapman. They had nine children. Was a commissioned lieutenant in the War of 1812. Joined the Church in Apr. 1833 and served a mission to Ohio later that year. In Oct. 1833, he accompanied Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon on a mission to Canada. In May 1835, he hosted Brigham Young and William Smith in his home at Leona, New York. [McLellin]
